Cassander here, checking in, letting you know that life isn’t so awful that there aren’t a few crazy kids out there trying to filter their unwarranted affection for 60’s Texas borderland pop into usable, danceable songs for the 21st century.  And that those same kids aren’t adverse to selling a few cars with the same tune.

Fall is here, unavoidable longer, darker nights.  Wild thoughts pass through my mind about home invasions or the universal permanence of rural ignorance.  Sooner or later I’ll have to distill all these influences and themes into meaningful patterns.  Let ‘s just hope it doesn’t come out as poetry.
