I\u2019ve been pining for out of print sci-fi shit for awhile on the forums<\/a>.<\/p>\n


\nMy\u00a0 top five \u201cwhere the fuck is the DVD?\u201d list is:<\/p>\n

Wizards and Warriors<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n

Probe<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n

Misfits of Science<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n

Logan\u2019s Run<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n

Salvage 1<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n

(Oh, and Blake’s 7<\/em> in region one format.)<\/p>\n

For my sins, we were given Starlost <\/em><\/a>on DVD.\u00a0 That\u2019s one that should not have seen the light of day ahead of the top three on the list above.\u00a0 Logan\u2019s Run<\/em>, similarly, is a chaotic nightmare of painful agony, so it\u2019s okay if we don\u2019t see that on disc for awhile.<\/p>\n

Nevertheless, I constantly seek them out.\u00a0 I\u2019ve managed to download most of Logan\u2019s Run<\/em>, and Probe <\/em>and Misfits <\/em>are floating around the net.\u00a0 Wizards and Warriors<\/em> only requires the occasional Youtube clip to remind me that, deep down, I\u2019m not interested in that bit of nostalgia.\u00a0 So far, the most elusive has been Andy Griffith\u2019s retarded sci-fi debacle, Salvage 1<\/em>.<\/p>\n

In Salvage 1<\/em>, Griffith plays a somewhat unscrupulous junk dealer who learns that there\u2019s \u2013 OMG \u2013 millions of dollars to be made if he retrieves space junk.\u00a0 Like, almost enough to pay for the oxygen if he were considering building a rocket to go to the moon and collect the junk.\u00a0 Which he is, along with an ex-astronaut (now a new age car salesman), a sexy \u201cfuel expert,\u201d and a token black man who (remarkably for 70\u2019s sci-fi) is not eaten by a giant nuclear cockroach.<\/p>\n

I figured no way would Salvage 1 <\/em>even rank a hit on the net.\u00a0 But, I found it.\u00a0 The pilot, at least. Split up into a billion parts on Youtube.\u00a0 So here ya go.\u00a0 Suffer with me into the night:<\/p>\n
