Last July, I decided to return to the idea of \u201cregular articles\u201d<\/a> here at GS.\u00a0 The plan, as outlined there, changed a bit and we ended up with just The Boble on Wednesdays and the Sunday Archives.<\/p>\n

Now I\u2019m adding to the idea, because I love programming articles a year in advance.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Sunday Archives<\/a> will return on the 15th and, currently, it looks like they\u2019ll carry through August before I start scraping the bottom of the barrel.\u00a0 We\u2019ve graduated from the more coherent margin notes and unfinished articles, and I\u2019ll be throwing up the old Dirtyfreaks.com fiction archives \u2013 serialized short stories, and the unfinished (though lengthy) \u201cNacho Sasha and the Knights of Saint John\u201d series.<\/p>\n

The Boble<\/a> is going strong.\u00a0 According to my little timeline, it looks like we\u2019ll see the end of the Old Testicle sometime in August.\u00a0 Then I\u2019m going to take a brief hiatus while I clean up the New Testicle and get it ready.\u00a0 It\u2019s 65 pages long, and hasn\u2019t really seen the light of day for nine years.\u00a0 I\u2019m actually quite excited to be reaching that point\u2026 I\u2019ve been trying to post the entire Boble since April of 2001.\u00a0 No reason why\u2026just to say that I did it.\u00a0 I should be embarrassed, really.<\/p>\n

Cass will be continuing his novel<\/a> once he sees himself through the pack ice and into the land of free time, so stay tuned on Mondays for updates.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, I\u2019m going to serialize my horrible, poorly-written, ridiculous novel, Judgment Day<\/em>.\u00a0 It clocks in at a hideous 370 pages, and I\u2019ll chop it up into bite size chunks so you can spend a year reading it.\u00a0 Which is advisable because it makes you want to slit your wrists.<\/p>\n

The novel started as a screenplay (also complete) in the late 90\u2019s.\u00a0 Then I spun that off into a false start novel, with just about 50 pages, in 2000.\u00a0 In 2001, I started thinking seriously about finishing a fucking novel no matter what.\u00a0 Just getting a beginning, middle, and end even if it was like something Jack Torrance would write in The Shining<\/em>.\u00a0 I\u2019ve selected Fridays for the novel, in the hopes that you don\u2019t read it sober.<\/p>\n

No ETA on that yet.\u00a0 I\u2019ll work on an intro this weekend and, if time allows, start programming it for April.\u00a0 But I might also spend this weekend trapping squirrels and drinking rum.\u00a0 We\u2019ll see\u2026<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
