I\u2019ll post this in the afternoon on Thursday so as not to take away from my desperate plea that someone, somewhere, help me get my Amazon Wishlist down to a manageable level<\/a>. Nacho needs books and Dr. Who DVD\u2019s and brewing equipment!<\/p>\n

Also, no one will read this because you\u2019re all on holiday so, if I fail miserably at the challenge, you won\u2019t know.\u00a0 Nobody reads anyway! I\u2019m the last man on Earth!\u00a0 Aaahhh!<\/p>\n

They\u2019re letting us out of work at 3pm today for a three day Christmas weekend. My plan \u2013 go home and write till Christmas morning when, even though I\u2019m single (and, seriously ladies, how can you say no?<\/a>) and only have five surviving family members, I still have to split Christmas Day between two events. There\u2019s the morning event with the fucking shut-in sociopath family members and the evening event with the drunken family members who are consumed with horror and regret about the shut-in sociopaths.<\/p>\n

My family is so fucked up, it\u2019s not really very funny anymore.<\/p>\n

Then back to work on Monday for a three and a half day week of twiddling thumbs and avoiding supervisors. After that, the New Year\u2019s Drunkfest Hoedown.<\/p>\n

My goal between now and January 3rd \u2013 a writing challenge, since that\u2019s become my GS theme \u2013 is to create oodles of content for the various blogs I participate in.\u00a0 It\u2019s 20 degrees out, the wind is whipping tiny dogs away into oblivion, and I\u2019m avoiding family members roaming the countryside like post-apocalyptic bandits.\u00a0 The perfect excuse to hunker down in a darkened, windowless room with a handle of vodka and create countless inane blog posts about how awful my life is and\/or how beautiful my penis is.<\/p>\n

I plan to write ten posts, no less than a thousand words each.\u00a0 Additionally, I\u2019ll be programming a \u201cCult Culture Section Retrospective<\/a>\u201d through March, alternating new movie and TV reviews with archives each week. That\u2019s all build-up for Greatsociety\u2019s tenth anniversary<\/a> in April.<\/p>\n

For my \u201cserious\u201d publisher blog:<\/p>\n

Ten posts, no less than a thousand words each, about, uh, something\u2026 Not my beautiful penis, but how my books aren\u2019t selling.<\/p>\n
