Half-Life tribute or new Valve project?

Friggin sweet, either way.

Quote
The video above is either an exceptionally well-crafted homage to the Half-Life universe, or (more than likely) it's a viral video hinting at something new from developer Valve. The sound effects and music seem to come from Half-Life and Half-Life 2 (with a little Lost thrown in, as well), and there are strong allusions drawn to the game's Black Mesa setting. Plus, the video's titled "What's in the Box?" and Valve's last Half-Life release was the Orange Box. Coincidence?

Man, that video was freakin awesome... I really hope it means a new game, even if Valve are a bunch of wankers who hate porting their titles to PS3.

That preview was sick, man.  After watching that, I'm ready to settle in and watch a whole 2 hour feature shot just that way.

Valve's saying they didn't make it. But... I dunno...

Well, technically they probably didn't... they probably wrote it and commissioned some other company to do it.

It's almost like viral marketing is a prerequisite for releasing an FPS these days.

Maybe this is it! :)  The Orange Box / Black Box link between the last Half Life release and this video leads me to believe that this may very well be a preview for Epsiode 3.

I wonder if Episode 3 is going to bring the portal gun to HL. That would be suh-weet. Or maybe Portal 2 and HL Ep. 3 are somehow combined or linked?

Using the portal gun on your enemies would be the coolest shit ever.  It would be absolute insanity in multiplayer though... like playing a level made out of swiss cheese.

Awesome video - somewhere in Europe I think, judging by the cars and houses.
There will come a day for every man when he will relish the prospect of eating his own shit. That day has yet to come for me.
