S.A. Crosby's latest book is actually a recycled version of his first, unpublished book from 15 years ago. And it shows. Very unhappy with this one.

The first book in the Naturalist series about a socially inept botanist who solves serial murders. It was really fun!

The final book, though, Dark Pattern, did not stick the landing. Disappointing after a four book series...

Light, dumb adventure. Great stuff too! White Plague.

Book two in this fun series. Protocol Zero.

Book three in the Joe Rush series. Have loved this series so far. One more to go... And I don't think Joe Rush is in any shape to deal with it, poor bastard.

So Spare is beautifully narrated by Harry, but this book is insulting. It's TMI and it's attention whoring on a level I've never encountered before. He'll have long rants about journalists he hates and, instead of having a legit reason to hate them, he'll go on and on about the use of serial commas, and insult their writing and their families. Like a petty little spoiled brat.

I have real Royal Fatigue right now, so this has stayed off my radar.

Despite a let down in the final reel, I started this guy's new series. Angel Killer. As with the last series -- a good start!

And finished the series. Book four was a little weak.
