And an Xbox and a copy of Fallout.

I'll preprogram some forum posts because nobody will see me for six months.

I certainly understand disdain for television... what you have to realize is that it's not the TV set's fault that television sucks.  Also, TV's can be used for a lot more than just watching television.  I should send you my old one.

Yeah, that Liberian thing is what threw me.  Never heard that before.  Amazing.

My landlady offered me a TV that she took after she evicted some poor family and I told I'd just sell it.  Guess I shouldn't have said that, because then she never brought it by.

I wish I could, man.  But... it's 100% serious.  Believe it or not, those currency commercials are better than they used to be.  The government started requiring them to tell people it was Liberian currency... before, you didn't have a clue.  They were selling them like they'd been made at a US mint.

The worst was the commemorative 9/11 half-dollar.... the WTC was gold leafed and, get this, you could actually tilt them up and stand them up straight off the quarter like a fucking pop-up book.

If you told me that was a joke commercial from a Zucker Brothers movie, I'd believe you.

At the top of that list, you need to put commercials.  Commercials are the most evil, insipid and mentally polluting things man has ever created.

case in point... THIS FUCKING COMMERCIAL was on CNN during a Lou Dobbs break last night.  My jaw nearly hit the floor.  I just can't believe they're allowed to get away with crap like this.

Yeah.  Last commercial I saw was at RC's house on December 20th.  Before that, it had been a couple years.  I can't believe how omnipresent they are.

Live sports and events like te Oscars are where "interent TV" still gets sticky.

And also, increasingly, available for download.  I see all Awards shows, and most of the major games show up on my secret site.

After my awesome CNN.com experience on Inauguration Day, I'll probably never get cable again. It's unnecessary, especially if you're willing to wait a few hours to watch the new episodes of any regular shows you watch.

Back to my list of reasons why I don't own a TV.

I actually got control of the television long enough last night to switch to MSNBC so I could watch Hardball because Chris Matthews owns.  But, they cut into it with breaking news about Caroline Kennedy pulling out... no wait she's in... no she's out... it's because of perso... Teddy is... no wait, we think she's gotten word....  no wait she's in.... out again... they think it's because she's not ready to... she's in out in out...

Then I screamed, threw the remote through the television and set the house on fire.

I guess that's to be expected.

The media's been retarded the past 8 years. Why should we expect anything different now?
