Sorry. I'm frustrated by the Amazon one-click orders of 25 year olds.

Man, today's front page piece is a tour de force. Nicely done.

If GS archives show us anything it will be that Mr. President Trump is channeling Monkey.

Now that i think about it, I've never seen Monkey and Trump in the same room.

Also, this stupid Trump/FB piece I wrote is never-ending and it sucks. Yet I feel like I have to finish to lance my inauguration boil.

You're channeling Trump! You should start a "Dirtytrump" Twitter account and just mirror every post he does but with an evil twist.

New Year's resolutions are for pussy-faggots who like the idea of doing something to feel energized or emboldened but if said resolution was something they'd actually do or important enough to motivate themselves it would already be in motion and not in the wings awaiting New Year.

Fuck NYRs. NYRs are very low energy. NYRs failed. They folded up like a tent. Big problems!

How about all those great front page GS articles I've been posting?! *SOB*

P.S. "Autobiography" was amazing.

I suck at New Years resolutions. The last couple years, I've made vague esoteric ones like "be kind" and other hippie-dippie shit. Even those I've failed to stick with completely.

However, my 2017 resolution is to read and write more. By reading, I mean more books, not stupid internet shit. For me this means not simply re-reading books I like which has become my habit over the past few years. It also means trying to read more fiction rather than non-fiction. (Though I'm sure I'll still read a ton of non-fiction.) "It Can't Happen Here" was the first full fiction book I've read in literal years.

On the writing end, my goal is to post a GS article every Tuesday. Some weeks I'm sure it won't be more than a couple paragraphs of nonsense, but the point is to get back into the habit of writing. I realize that I haven't done any real writing in well over a year. It feels like the muscles are atrophying a bit, and frankly I've always identified more as a writer than a filmmaker.

I'm going to try and get myself into a daily writing habit. (Something I've never had.) Not 1,000 words a day, but more like an hour of non-stop writing. It doesn't have to be on a single project either. My plan is to just write whatever is in my head on any given morning. Literally set a timer for an hour and do nothing but write.

We'll see how this goes. As I said, I'm terrible about resolutions and I know how I am when my life gets frenetic. That said, I feel like my present goal should be all about getting back to basics. Writing should be a part of that.
