So I'm putting something together, and I swear that I'm forgetting some classics.  What are some cult favorite failed sci-fi shows that ran for half a season or less?  Like less than 14 episodes, before they were cancelled.

I'll stop you on the Prisoner right now -- it was supposed to be a short run.

I've got Planet of the Apes, Firefly, Wizards & Warriors, Global Frequency...

I dunno if it classifies as Sci-fi, but I was really into a Fox show called John Doe a few years ago and I never figured out what happened to it.  It had the guy from that Prison Break show and if I recall, he was like super intelligent or something, but couldn't remember anything about himself at all.  I thought it was good anyway.

Yeah.  It was okay.  But it had a full season.

You mean this, right:

shouldn't there be a statue or at least a plaque somewhere for Lowtax for introducing the "-ar" substitution as an acceptable, albeit comedic use of language?

How dare you!

I just got off work.  Now I got to kill time until we go to the Pour House later and see a band.

I have an hour to go, then I head home and drink a bottle of rum and update GS in a feeble attempt to be like you.

The show starts at 7pm!

Oh, nothing ever happens.

I might stop in Silver Spring and go to the Quarry House, though.  There's a book on Caesar I want to get.

re-railing, please wait...

How about M.A.N.T.I.S.?

I can't remember if that show was good or not.  Black scientist gets paralyzed, makes a suit ("exoskeleton") that lets him walk again and fight crime.  Suit has limited power.  Some kind of girlfriend/assistant.

not really sci-fi, but the Maxx didn't make it past 6 episodes, i don't think.  Coincidentally, I just bought all the TPB issues.  Only 3-5 days til complete bliss!  Thank you payday!

It was crap.  But it leads me to the Flash (which had a full season) starring Amanda Pays which leads me to -- of course -- Max Headroom!  How could I forget?
