Velvet Goldmine's the only one i haven't seen.  Is it worth my time?

Velvet Goildmine rocks!  I used to put on glitter makeup and watch it over and over.  I bought the album and played it really loud and drank dessert wine.  It's oodles of fun.

Of course, I have a weak spot for glitter rock.

If you haven't seen it, watch it.  Get drunk, then watch it.

I just moved Velvet Goldmine to the top of my Netflix list.

And don't give me that emo shit, fellas!  Once Upon a Time was crap.  Sure, Johnny Depp can act or whatever, but just because he's in a movie doesn't immediately make it gold.  

I dunno... I just didn't like it when compared to the other two flicks.  It was missing something.  And actually, Depp was about the only part of that movie that made me chuckle.  When he intervenes in the bullfight and gores the matador, I nearly fell out of my seat.  But my quick synopsis was that it's a forgettable movie and average, at best, when compared with the other two.

why i love Once upon a time in mexico is because it is so over the top.  Sure desperado is popcorn escapism, but it has a certain flair.  But Mexico is just so Fabulous that I couldn't help watching it 15 times in a row when i bought the DVD.  

El, you really must try this because it's puerco pibil. It's a slow-roasted pork, nothing fancy. It just happens to be my favorite, and I order it with a tequila and lime in every dive I go to in this country. And honestly, that is the best it's ever been anywhere. In fact, it's too good. It's so good that when I'm finished, I'll pay my check, walk straight into the kitchen and shoot the cook. Because that's what I do. I restore the balance to this country. And that is what I would like from you right now. Help keep the balance by pulling the trigger.

What I love is that it's an end of the career flashback thing.  Almost Famous...ten years later!  So you get some fun 80's depressive shit.

The movie was all about Depp, yeah.  It was sort of the great send-off to one of Hollywood's best Cinderella stories.  I think you should watch it with that in mind.  It's Rodriguez's Alien 4.
