Okay! Sample ballot time! And I'm going to have fun this year.
My protest vote will be Gary Johnson. Reggie and I will accidentally get him elected president by two votes.
My local people are all basically uncontested or Vampire Incumbents but, for senator, I'm voting for the no-party candidate Sobhani, because he's funny and a little crazy.
Question 1 humorously requires judges to practice law. Um...yes. Right? What?
Question 2 is more of the same.
Question 3 seems to think there's a question if an elected official is an axe murderer and the powers that be want to remove him from office.
Question 4 wants to give undocumented immigrants the ability to pay in-state tuition. Everybody is voting "no," I imagine, but I think that's a clear "yes" because I'm big on the whole "education should not be alienated" issue these days.
Plus there are so many pre-requisites to the law, it's ridiculous. You might as well vote no, I guess. Students must first complete 60 credit hours to qualify! So...in-state tuition will be for their, what? Last semester only?
Question 5: The ubiquitous redistricting question. I always vote yes, because, whatever.
Question 6: The Gays! Everyone is pretty confident that MD will overwhelmingly return a yes on the gay marriage question. I'm voting that way.
Question 7 outrageously wants us to expand gambling. I'm anti-gambling and hope these people die. They don't even hide the fact that they're going to lean on PG County (where the gentrification outcasts have all been exiled to). Voting yes for this is voting yes for usury.
Question A asks us to give the County permission to hire crips on a noncompetitive basis. Sorry. Darwin Voting for me.
Question B wants us to weaken the police unions. I don't think we should let management needle people who carry three different types of guns around.
How about you guys? Also, for people more intelligent than I am, explain how I'm wrong on the above choices for the questions.
