Hell of a stand towards the end in Philly to keep it from going to OT   :salute:

Battle of the Stud Rookie QBs next weekend should be a dandy to watch.

To me the NFC looks wide-open, as the top two seeds are quite beatable (even at home).

I want to make my usual playoff predictions, but my emotional involvement with the Skins may hamper that.

Man, how good id the game going to be next Sunday night. Reggie, you gotta let me know what the vibe is like.

It was like the Giants Monday Night Football game. Very loud...fewer opposing fans though. Although I had 2 jokers right next to me who stayed until the very end. Very exciting, but my friend and I were both very nervous. You couldn't just laugh off the importance. There was some gravity.

But it was glorious at the end. Everyone rejoicing...disbelief...and I think even a little relief.  We've got a team!! WE'VE GOT A TEAM!!!

This week my emotionless brain says:

Seattle
Baltimore
Green Bay
Houston

My heart says the Skins can find a way though...hot at the right time in the NFL is everything.

The Baltimore hate for the current iteration of the Colts still runs very deep round these parts.* Talk about a grudge.

*And for the non-football amongst you who want to know why Ravens fans hate Irsay's Colts so much, I give you this:
http://www.history.com/this-day-in-history/baltimore-colts-move-to-indianapolis

That said, while I always try to be a supporter of the local teams, I have a lot of trouble getting behind the Ravens. Part of it is the natural Baltimore/DC sibling rivalry that exists. The other part is that many Ravens fan seem to think they're owed greatness after having the Colts stripped away from them and going so many years without a football team. There's a cockiness there that rubs me weird. Or maybe I'm just jealous of the past fifteen years where the Ravens have been relevant and the Redskins have not.

I think it's more people over 40 who really care, but I think it will fade with time.

Of course I could be wrong...people in B'more still talk hate for the Redskins for what our dead owner did to keep football out of their city.

Rumor now has it as Ray-Ray's swan song...even more motivation for the rest of the team and fans I suppose.

While i'm sad the Skins season ended last night, I'm also sort of relieved. Is that crazy? I think it was just a case of too much, too soon.

I just hope Bobby Three Sticks hasn't ruined his career.

I kind of know how you feel. I was so anxious this week about the game.

I would rather have lost 44-0 then have more knee damage.

But hey...4-0 on my picks for the weekend.

When you go up by 2 TDs in front of your home crowd in the Playoffs, it's a choke job to end up losing by 10! They should catch a lot of flak, but the notion that Shanahan is to blame for the injury to his QB is rather ludicrous. The good news is that the early reports indicate that it is not a career-ender (though a long absence and rehab is a given).
