I’m in free fall in an Internet hole inspired by this twitter thread implying the Bagas Massacre was a Russian black op designed to take the heat off the FBI’s Russia/election investigation. It’s bonkers.

https://twitter.com/ahamiltonspirit/status/914863695724974081

CNN reports the girlfriend was”sent away” to the Philippines and wired $100K in the lead up to the shooting.

It’s smoke and whispers, but it also reeks of Adam Curtis’ non-linear warfare.

I'm already at saturation point. Which is another aspect of the Adam Curtis syndrome.

A new aspect of school shootings: Blaming absolutely everyone who shouldn't be blamed, and not blaming those who should.

So, for example, this school deputy who didn't go into the building for four minutes. "He's an absolute coward."

Well...okay. So you have an active shooter with a machine gun and you're a 50-something deputy with a pistol and you're all alone. I would wait for backup as well! His boss says: "He should have gone in, confronted the shooter, and killed the shooter."

Uh... Pistol. Machine gun.

Meanwhile, the shooters earlier 911 calls are being used to make him look like a sociopath but, when you listen to them, here's an abused kid screaming for help and no one's helping him. The 911 calls were played on the Today show as "very disturbing," and were tsked tsked when we cut back to the presenters. But, man, I walked away feeling sympathy for the kid. He wanted help, he begged for help, he was ignored, he snapped. The crime there? That we don't have good on the ground mental health/intervention policies for our children.

Meanwhile, I love the "crisis actor" conspiracy theory. I don't want to start sounding like a crazy conservative nut but... I haven't seen one student interviewed who isn't made up, with perfect hair, and oddly beautiful. And only one in every three or so sheds a tear. The rest are stoic and more presentable than JLaw on camera.

Anyway... Morning thoughts!

My ‘thoughts and prayers’ are with the victims.
There will come a day for every man when he will relish the prospect of eating his own shit. That day has yet to come for me.
