All right, the garlic vodka is quite nice at this point.

Now I need to perfect my Bloody Mary recipe. At this point, I'm pretty inconsistent. Last week's attempt was amazing. This week's is mediocre. At best.

I have a shitty, bland premade mix. In it, I add a pinch of horseradish, some Worcestershire sauce, and a teaspoon of pickled olive brine.

Suggestions?

The Nacho Sasha bloody mary!

Get regular V8 tomato/veg juice. Pour the whole bottle into a pitcher. Then add the juice of two lemons, a little dash of brown sugar (more to taste), a teaspoon or so of A1 steak sauce, Tobasco Worcestershire sauce (about two tablespoons), a couple tablespoons wasabi (or horseradish), crushed red peppers (liberal sprinkling), a teaspoon of celery salt, a dash of Adobo seasoning, a dash of basil and parsley, a few chives. Stir, then cover it and put it in the fridge for 18-24 hours, stirring every six hours or so.

Bust it out after a day or two. Fill a shaker with ice, then half of the mix and half vodka, another dash of the Tobasco Worcestershire and a dash of lime or lemon juice. Shake and serve with your garnish of choice -- I usually go for pickled, spicy Okra these days.

Oh... Ramps instead of okra when you serve it would be amazing.

Also -- birthday bloody marys on May 7th? I think so. I'll mix up a batch with vodka the weekend before so it can really sit and stew for a bit.
