The world's newest nation will be South Sudan. They voted for independence in January and they go live -- in possession of 80% of Sudan's oil resources -- on July 9th.

So they can either break that treaty and start a war or spend however long cutting up their pie and handing the pieces out. I don't know how long the treaty's good for and don't care enough to research it because they'll squander whatever meager potential they have anyway.
