Jesus.  I'm going to have to get really drunk before watching the pilot next month.

Leaked!  Will watch tonight after the wedding.

edit -- Haha... It leaked on Wednesday and I just haven't cared enough to search for it.  Nice.  Also means there's a bunch of reviews in the thread...lots of people saying it's actually okay, and comparing it to Snowcrash.

I'm cautiously hopeful...

Wow... Unwatchable.  Absolute garbage.  It's like some weird version of 90210, except using BSG slang.  The writing is clumsy and weird, all the acting emotionless.  I'll eventually finish it, but I had to quit after half an hour.

Between this and the finale, I'm prepared to say that all of BSG is the worst thing to ever happen to television and will continue to tell folks not to start the series.  Don't bother.  It's all one long, misguided, clumsy crawl towards betrayal and embarrassment.

I gave it a second round last night.  Got through another half hour before I had to quit.  It's eXistenZ 90210 with BSG slang.  MOTHERFRAKKER!!!

Might manage to finish tonight.

The one highlight was an OG Cylon...except he was firing two comical paintball guns at a little R2D2 chattering droid.

And here's how the worst sci-fi show in history ended! It completely throws out everything established in BSG, which I love. The resurrection tanks (and human form Cylons) are technology brought by the Final Five from Earth. They're on a sleeper ship about 25 years away during the events of Caprica, so... Uh...

It's like this series was based in some parallel universe.  A church for Cylons? The whole "monotheists" storyline? What, were all of these events lost and forgotten after 40 years?
