Anyway... It's surprisingly good for a Sci-Fi original series. I mean, if you have something to do, don't watch it. But if you were planning to spend the next hour masturbating slowly to Mila Kunis or making a rubber band ball or cutting "stop making remakes" into your thighs, it's worth a watch.

There's been no news on Terra Nova. Or, at least, none I have bothered looking for. It hits September 26th. I have zero expectations.

They're trying to keep it under wraps, I think. There will be be a blitz in the two weeks leading up probably so they can get a big premiere and some ad money before the inevitable crash.

Oh, man, it's like being a time traveler and sitting at a spot along the tracks knowing there's going to be a train wreck.

I actually hope it's not as bad as feared because it is a pretty cool idea, and they've spent so much money on it. But it's that feeling, you know. Then again, maybe everybody's expectations will be so low that we'll all think it's good if it's merely passable.

Well, that's how I went into Falling Skies...

I think, for the second decade of this century, we'll move slowly into TV and movies that can't even be saved by going into them assuming the worst.

First news on Terra Nova in a while... It's been cut to just 13 episodes for season one.

Anyway, at the in-laws this weekend we watched some FOX TV and promos for Terra Nova were on just about every commercial break, no matter what time of day. They're pimping it hard.

I want them to succeed because if it does poorly it could actually scare execs away from taking a chance of other genre TV shows. I mean, it's obvious that they've sunk way too much money into it, but Hollywood is such a results based place the how and why won't be taken into account; just the final numbers.
