Defying Gravity

So...wait a minute.  This show is great!

I've ignored it because all the torrent sites call it "Ray Livingstone in Space!" and I thought it was a documentary or something.

But, of course, Ray Livingstone is the Office Space guy, and Office Space is the mentally challenged version of Fight Club for some autistics out there.

The story is set in the 2050's, and we're sending a bunch of yahoos on a six year mission to tour the solar system because, apparently, money and resources are no object.  But there's something else going on...some other presence on the ship, and a select few at Mission Control know about it.

The show's already been canceled after 13 episodes (and, I think, only nine of them aired), but I'm on episode three and loving it.

It's not Firefly-great, so I don't really care that it's only 13 episodes.  Just a bit of fun sci-fi.

more and more i'm realizing that Fox primetime shows are all geared towards the homosexual demographic.

The "Pink Pound" has long influenced TV in the UK.  Now the US gets that there's a "Pink Dollar" do be grabbed.  So, yes, "homosexual" programming is very much in vogue.  In some cases overt (QAF, L Word) and usually much more subtle (i.e., Fillion's Castle character, while reported to be a womanizer, is divorced and ultimately asexual; The Mentalist has lost his wife and is also aloof from women, McGee on NCIS is of questionable sexuality; and, famously trail blazing in so many ways, Homicide crossed the line by having Bayliss go gay...and on and on...)
