Grand Theft Auto IV is the masterpiece of our time

So once you get it running, it's not too bad. It's dog slow on my computer, though, so I had to turn the graphics way down. My computer runs Steam games at full quality smoothly, so it's a surprise to see it choke on GTA. I may end up quitting it halfway through because the slowness makes part of the game a bit unplayable.

We deal with it by pirating it.  These days, I pirate games largely so I can have them without all of that computer-crippling bullshit.  It's not really saving money that motivates me.

So I bought it, spent 90 billion hours downloading it and then when I open it, I don't get to play. Oh, no, of course not! First, it has to install a ton of shit for half an hour. Then I have to create a Rockstar Club ID or some bullshit. Which takes 15 minutes. Then I have to create some faggot WINDOWS GAMES LIVE HOTMAIL LIVE VISTA EXTREME ENTERPRISE EDITION account that takes another billion hours to complete because it wants to download updates and restart and be a general pain-in-the-ass-piece-of-shit-Windows product. And then there's some product key I'm supposed to enter somewhere.

That is the whole reason why 6 yrs ago I vowed to never buy another pc game and got an xbox.

I can't stand using console controllers, though. I grew up on Quake 1 with a keyboard and mouse. Those joystick things drive me nuts.

But barring a new computer, a console is going to be the only way I'll be able to keep up on the cool new games. So... Considering it. But things like Team Fortress 2 are best on a computer. My favorite server, 2fort2furious is golden. And you need a keyboard for a lot of it (like the server's music commands which let you play music or, for admins, play sounds on everyone's computer, which is hilarious at times. Like when someone says something dumb, there's sounds and shit. It's great, trust me.)

Because there is none, of course. Boot Camp is going to essentially kill the Mac games market, really. Which is fine, but I just hate dealing with retard Windows just to play games.

A mouse and keyboard are the only way to truly kick ass at an FPS game.  The only shooter that even comes close with a controller is Gears of War.  That was the first shooter I've played on a console that I didn't feel like I would be 20 times better with a keyboard and mouse instead of a joystick.
