http://voices.washingtonpost.com/44/2009/01/21/obama_takes_his_oath_of_office.html?wprss=44

Quote
Updated 8:47 p.m. By Anne E. Kornblut and Michael D. Shear President Obama took the oath of office -- again -- on Wednesday, out of what a White House lawyer described as "an abundance of caution." "We believe that the oath of office was administered effectively and that the president was sworn in appropriately yesterday. But the oath appears in the Constitution itself. And out of an abundance of caution, because there was one word out of sequence, Chief Justice Roberts administered the oath a second time," said White House Counsel Greg Craig in a statement issued early Wednesday night. Obama and Chief Supreme Court Justice John Roberts had both seemingly stumbled over the 35-word oath during Obama's swearing-in as president on Tuesday, leading some to question whether he had properly committed the Constitutionally-mandated speech act that made him president of the United States.

Now it's actually given birth to new scandal because, apparently, they didn't notify any of the 5 major networks, so there weren't any cameras there to video tape the moment.  So.... the media is all pissy and now they're saying that the second swearing in goes against Obama's call for more transparency in the government god I hate people.

Yeah, watching that wildfire start.  This is amazing.  I'm sure it'll soon be eclipsed by the "Obama puts on his left shoe first" scandal.  We already have the "no jacket in the Oval Office" controversy.

Fox News is being the worst with all this.  They were the torch carrier for the whole "it's not official" thing.

I guess that's to be expected.

The media's been retarded the past 8 years. Why should we expect anything different now?

I actually got control of the television long enough last night to switch to MSNBC so I could watch Hardball because Chris Matthews owns.  But, they cut into it with breaking news about Caroline Kennedy pulling out... no wait she's in... no she's out... it's because of perso... Teddy is... no wait, we think she's gotten word....  no wait she's in.... out again... they think it's because she's not ready to... she's in out in out...

Then I screamed, threw the remote through the television and set the house on fire.

Back to my list of reasons why I don't own a TV.

After my awesome CNN.com experience on Inauguration Day, I'll probably never get cable again. It's unnecessary, especially if you're willing to wait a few hours to watch the new episodes of any regular shows you watch.

Live sports and events like te Oscars are where "interent TV" still gets sticky.

And also, increasingly, available for download.  I see all Awards shows, and most of the major games show up on my secret site.

At the top of that list, you need to put commercials.  Commercials are the most evil, insipid and mentally polluting things man has ever created.
