To,m Cruise plays Barry Seal, who was the linchpin in the Iran-Contra Affair and has a fascinating story. Very 80s, very fun, and it misses the mark. It sort of assumes you're an expert in the history of the Iran-Contra shit and just cruises along without taking time to explain much of anything. It's all about Tom Cruise adventuring and hamming it up for the camera. They also pull their punch at the end of the movie. We get three seconds of Reagan and Bush dodging press questions and joking, roll credits. So...how about refreshing our memory about what happened? Or providing an update on all the secondary characters? What happened to the family? What happened to Barry's team? What happened to the disgraced CIA wonks? Blah.

Awkward and silly. It has fun moments, it has cute moments, and is fine for mindless entertainment. But if, like me, you feel "Over-Schumered," then you should avoid this at all costs. You see one of Schumer's tits, though.

I want to see Snatched. Goldie Hawn as Schumer's mom seems such a great pairing. The trailer looks stupid, but I've been smart about my Schumer consumption, mostly because my wife absolutely can't stand her.

One huge highlight is Joan Cusack's (non-speaking) character and Wanda Sykes speaking for her. I wanted the movie to shift focus and follow them.
