Flu shots? Haven't you watched Utopia?
There will come a day for every man when he will relish the prospect of eating his own shit. That day has yet to come for me.

Or heeded any of the real world warnings?

I hear you, though a quick search for "flu shot controversy" brings up a bunch of sites that are also trying to see me rune stones.

This one gets behind your argument little bit.

So five days of utter hell if this ones grabs you. Today is day six and the first day I feel like I'm truly finally beating it.  I hope Nacho is right about fighting the flu making me stronger.

So what they actually say is that only high risk people should get flu shots -- the elderly, the young, and those with weak respiratory systems. Which is a category you belong to, yes? So my anti-flu shot talk is sort of moot in your case.

I've never thought of myself as having a weak respiratory system, but I did smoke for twelve years.

I think I may have bronchitis or some faggot illness like that; sounds like Whooping Cough but hurts my bronchus and has lasted almost one month.

Guinness will help it.

Am I the only one who's been fucking drowning in pollen this year? I never thought I had bad allergies until the past two weeks when what's been coming out my nose looks suspiciously like the "meteor shit" in Creepshow. Allegra or Zyrtec doesn't really touch and I'm sure my daily saline nostril cleanse is the only thing that's saved me for a full blown sinus infection.

They keep saying this is the last week of tree pollen before the grass pollen starts. Joy!

Oh, I'm the worst I've ever been. I'm blowing blood for 15 minutes every morning.

Finally went to the doctor and got some antibiotics after two weeks of suffering. Within two hours of taking the first dose, I feel loads better. Guess a sinus infection had indeed set in.

The shit show is I went to an Urgent Care facility because the doctor that replaced my retired doctor decide a private practice was too much work. Insurance is going to treat it as an emergency visit which is some happy horseshit, but not much I can do about it. Any advice on shopping for a new regular doctor?

As I joked with Nacho yesterday, I'm part of the intergalactic Sentara system which I thought my act like an HMO, but apparently doesn't. (And why should it? It's just a corporate hospital system.)
