She was looking right at me through the TV with eyes that said, "I want you."

But the moment is past.

I don't get how anyone can say she's cute... I just see evil.

You're partisanship glasses are failing you.

Also, compared to most politicians...she's smokin', because they're men and/or half-dead.

e: Why would I hyphenate partisanship?

Just because I think Ronald Reagan was a terrible president doesn't mean I'm partisan.

You really don't think you're partisan?

Here's what I see in Sarah Palin: a woman who charges rape survivors for medical exams and believes that the myth of America #1 is enough to sustain this country. She's a candidate that supports the failed policies of Ronald Reagan and wants to expand the incredible powers of the vice-presidency even more than they already are - mostly because I'm certain she knows nothing of the abuses that Cheney has done under it or worse, that she condones them. She supports bad economic policies and knows nothing of real merit besides "cutting taxes will fix everything!" which is not true in the real world and only exists in weakly drawn graphs on bar napkins. Which is a fitting description for most laissez faire capitalist theories.

Now at what point am I partisan for seeing that she's evil for any of those things? I'm not even getting into her religious beliefs here and how they'd inform her policy. How am I partisan for seeing past the "hot librarian" glasses, the red high heels, and the awkward "go get 'em tiger" Mary Jane bullshit base-pandering rhetoric?

You're partisan for a lot of reasons.  In this case, the fact that you can't look at a woman and think that she's attractive outside of her political beliefs is a good indicator.

No one here is talking about marrying her, but in general the consensus is...on a physical level...she's an attractive woman.  That's all.

She's definitely far more attractive than most women on the political scene. That doesn't mean I have to like her. I find certain freshmen girls on campus extremely attractive but then they open their mouths and say something stupid and I'm much less attracted to them. I see little difference here.

Also, her cheeks are a little weird. When she smiles it weirds me out

I think you're partisan because I have never, not once, seen you acknowledge any of the good things Republicans have done for this country.  I have not seen you praise any of their ideas, programs or politicians for anything.

Arlen Specter kicks ass and is one of my favorite Republicans because he stood against the Bush surveillance plans. Dwight Eisenhower was a fantastic president who gave one of the best final addresses in this country. I'd say he's the last good Republican president.

Most of the modern-day political parties and policies are gonna happen after the switch of the south from Democrat to Republican and I don't support those policies. I support a New Deal look at the economy; I support socialism; I support LGBT rights. The Democrats aren't all where they should be on those issues, and I was greatly disappointed in Biden not supporting gay marriage last night. Obama has come out strong and backed off on these issues in the past. I chalk it up to politicking. So the Democrats aren't the party for me, otherwise I'd be registered as one. But they're better than the other side.
