Movie is currently set for June, but Sci-Fi hasn't officially confirmed that.

Sci-Fi did confirm ten webisodes in December, and maybe more webisodes setting up the movie once 4.5 is done.

You know how it goes.

4.0 release.

4.5 release.

Full set release with movie.

Fancy full set release.

Full series release.

Pre-Caprica re-release of all seasons with never before seen material.

Ten year anniversary release with lost episodes so you have to buy it.

Deluxe Superfine Super Duper edition boxset (same as the pre-Caprica boxset but not the same as the ten year anniversary release)

Special Director's Superfine Super Duper release (in response to fans who were mad about the last release.  This one is like the ten year anniversary release, except disc two is corrupted and you have to mail away for a replacement)

And, by then, they'll have some format that's not compatible with our discs.

So looks like the current launch date for "The Plan" is June.  We won't have to wait long after the March 20th finale.

(I think the prequel's a mistake, by the way.)

Why is it a mistake? An obvious retcon will bother people this much after finding out that they picked the last 5 by democracy?

The description just sounds so lame.  They're going for Conspiracy here.  After the attack, two Cylons discuss the future of humanity.  All at a nice dinner party!

I bet it'll feature an optimistic future after the fleet meets with Cavil's fleet, then jumps and somehow escapes onto a new planet where Cylons and humans mix and start the new colony.

Haha... Oh man, I wish I never got into this series.  The dreadful, insulting finale, then the horrible Caprica, and now the movie is a giant clip show!

Grace Park, who played Boomer and Athena on SCI FI's Battlestar Galactica, told SCI FI that the upcoming prequel film The Plan combines familiar footage from earlier seasons with all-new material.

"What we did was we took scenes that we already shot, that you're going to recognize, and then either add another angle, or add some dialogue," Park said in an exclusive interview last Thursday in Pasadena, Calif. "So if someone whispered something in someone's ear, which you never heard, we're actually adding that dialogue. So it's going to inform things on so many different levels. So it's tricky."

Edward James Olmos, who directed the upcoming DVD movie Battlestar Galactica: The Plan, told an audience of fans that the film will deliver exactly what they expect it to: The Plan shows the Cylons' perspective on their attempted genocide of humanity.

"I gotta tell you, not to give anything away, it is exactly what you think it is," Olmos said in a panel discussion

A fucking clip show, cash-in, cheap shot shitfest?

Rumor du jour is Bryan Singer (X-Men, Superman, Usual Suspects) is attached to a big screen BSG "reimagining."
