Okay -- let's jump ahead to the general election.  Get our minds off of all this insane shit.

Obama v. McCain.  Starked DC is bored today:

Quote
This has been another good few days of polling for Obama, perhaps from McCain and Bush’s double team that probably backfired on McCain.  Still, none of the toss-up states are yet leaning toward Obama, meaning both candidates have a lot of work to do and, for now, it’s anybody’s game.

Electoral Predictions as of 5/21: Obama 242 - McCain 209

That’s it for now.  As the polls come in and the news change, we’ll make changes whenever they come in to see if either candidate can get to the magical number of 270.

McCain Safe: (140) AL, AR, AZ, ID, GA, KS, KY, LA, NE, OK, SD, TN, TX, UT, WV, WY

Lean McCain: (69) AK, FL, MS, MT, NC, ND, NH, SC

Toss-Up: (87) IN, MI, MO, NV, OH, VA, WI

Lean Obama: (69) CO, IA, MA, NJ, NM, PA

Obama Safe: (173) CA, CT, D.C., DE, HI, IL, MD, ME, MN, NY, OR, RI, VT, WA

Yeah, this is Obama's presidency to lose. So barring any major freakout, it's safe to say that Obama is the next President. Which fills my heart with sunshine.
