Ok, I'll take back some of the venom.  I have one question for you people who think Bush=Hitler=Satan.  Which is worse, killing people in wars for your own personal agenda or sitting back and doing nothing while millions of civilians are murdered(Clinton).  Oh wait, he fired off a couple missles one day.

I'm one of those pacifists who think that a life is a life. One equals one.

I don't think it's right to kill 10,000 people to save 30 or something like that. I think it's just to lose 10,000 to save a million.

WWII, I think, was a just war. I even supported the war in Afghanistan. But Vietnam? Iraq? Bullshit. How the hell am I supposed to believe that Iraq was a formidable and impending threat to the world if we obliterated their rag-tag army in 3 weeks?

Where does the "million" figure come from? All I remember was the few missiles he threw off in some Eastern European country during the cum-stain fiasco (don't get me started on that).

The only things I know of killing millions of people currently are African dictators, tsunamis, and AIDS. As far as I know, Bush is only addressing one of those when he should be addressing all three with at least a tenth of the religious fervor that he pursued the war against Iraq.

Point? Counter-point?

I always took "Fair and Balanced" to be a dig at Media A  for actually believing they were.  Media B never was and hopefully never will be fair and balanced.  Funny thing...everybody says there's no bias in the liberal media but there is on Media B.  That really doesn't make sense to me.  You people really believe Media A is unbiased?  Media C, Media D?  Media E???  C'mon.

Same old, same old.... invent something new already.

That wasn't my point.  I derailed myself.  I meant that their slogan was a joke, it was supposed to be a joke.  Making fun of both the left and the right.

The point is that everything and everyone has a bias. Duh. What's striking is that Fox is blatantly one sided and makes no attempts to balance their coverage. Their conservative commentators infuse the "news" with tons of their own commentary. Liberal guests who even show signs of making a point are talked over, cut off, and literally told to "get the fuck out before I do something that puts me in jail".

Watch the Glick clips where O'Reilly brought on a kid who lost his father on 9/11 and signed his name to an anti-war petition. As soon as the kid makes a good point, O'Reilly begins to talk over him, yell at him, tell him to shut up, attacks his character, makes shit up, and abuses this kid who lost his dad on 9/11. It's literally sickening. The very fucking least he could have done was let this kid express his viewpoint and his reasons for those viewpoints. Before the camera fades all the way out, you can see O'Reilly motion for the security guards to carry him away. He even threatened him.

Those conservative pundits can't use logic and reason to back up their points so they yell and scream, cut off other people before they can even finish a word, and use any weasely tactic they can to keep their segment devoid of any trace of truth and/or reason.

C'mon Tyson.  I know you're just a pup but you have to be aware of the fact we were attacked again and again under Clinton's watch and did next to nothing about it.

At least he didn't get a memo entitled "Al Quaida Determined to Attack U.S." and then read "My Pet Goat".

Nonetheless, I'm curious how different presidents would have handled it. Certainly not by staring at little kids forever.

Bush just isn't photogenic. Choking on pretzels, that first debate with Kerry, hitting a police officer on his bike (or really any other time he's on a bike), his weird grin, his bad speech technique, that photo of him under the "Mission Accomplished" banner, etc etc etc.

We're comparing doing nothing while being attacked with chocking on a pretzel.  Oh wait, YOU'RE comparing that.  I'm laughing at you.

You completely missed the point: the point was that Bush isn't very photogenic. Har har.

But if you want to get to it: Doing nothing is better than attacking the wrong country. I mean, come on. For fuck's sake. Attacking Iraq in the wake of 9/11 is about as logical as attacking Australia after Pearl Harbor was bombed.

Whatever happened to getting Bin Laden? This isn't "Where in the World is Carmen San Diego." The news is constantly reporting officials and operatives saying that we have a "good idea" where he is. SO GET HIM ALREADY!
