Concept Art is one of those things I get really excited about. I love understanding the mindset that goes into a film's design. This article is really cool and kind of jazzes me up for this new Terminator movie. Maybe a little spoiler-y, so be warned.

Okay -- this whole "F-Bomb Rant" with Bale... Shut the fuck up already.  It's everywhere...and it's no big deal.  Wow!  An actor freaked out!

Dude, Bale's done, what, half a dozen movies in a row, he's a great actor, I think he's allowed to freak out after a few years of 15 hour work days.  It's what happens.  So he flipped.  I'm sure he made nice after he cooled down.  It's not like O'Reilly's freakout, which was insane.  Making movies is hard work.

I think he did make nice when he cooled down, plus it was right around the same time as his freak out on his mother and sister so he was likely stressed.

All that said there's a level of mutual respect on a movie set that should always try to be maintained. There's a thousand better ways Bale could have gone about to address his concern. Acting like dick just makes the whole shoot day go south.

First impressions:

(1) Finally -- a John Connor who isn't a faggot!

(2) Finally -- the franchise reboot we've been praying for.

(3) SCC is canon, eh?

(4) Erection.

What makes you say that?

I do know they're completely throwing out Terminator 3.

Taking human prisoners, experimenting on them, creating cyborgs who think they're human, having them be not-quite-Terminators, having them be friends to the humans.

I guess so, though this seems to be doing in a way that doesn't, you know, suck.

SCC hasn't yet done that, but it was clear that that was the path they were heading down.  Everyone's a Cylon!  Er...

But, yes, I don't mean to mention SCC along with this movie, because I think this movie will be awesome and I want SCC to burn up in a meth lab explosion.

But the less-robotic robots, and the more intrigue-oriented Skynet, is all thanks to SCC.

T1 = Heartless machines, Skynet is single-mindedly exterminating everything

T2 = Arnold is a one-off captured Cyborg trained to not be a single-minded exterminator, but Skynet is still that way.

T3 = Skynet's been watching too much Star Trek and Quantum Leap.

SCC = The humans are using more machines than Skynet, which has completely given up and is now travelling back in time just to invest in plastics and buy a beachfront lot.

T4 = Skynet's an insane killer again, but still has too much spare time.

Also so very happy that the Terminator march is still part of the franchise.  The drums there at the end.  It's like the Daleks with the same pulse sound of their instruments in every Dalek episode from 63 to 08.  So even before they're revealed, you hear that ambient noise of their ship interior and go -- DALEKS!

That's the best summation of the Terminator series ever.

IT'S OFFICIAL: LINDA HAMILTON IS IN TERMINATOR SALVATION

At New York Comic Con Linda Hamilton told MTV News that she was in talks to do a voice over for McG's Terminator Salvation, but that they hadn't come to terms and that she hadn't yet read the material. It turns out that in the month since then she's definitely read it - right into the movie.

A source who has seen the film confirms to us that Hamilton's voice over is in the film, and that it works very well in context. Her voice over is not long, and it comes at the very beginning of the movie; the source compared it in tone and style to her voice over in T2.

Unfortunately that was all I could get - this source was incredibly mum about all other details. But that little bit of continuity - the presence of Sarah Connor - is going to be present in Terminator Salvation.
