So the big cliffhanger finale pulls every single fucking punch.  They find a vaccine, they use it, Abby gets Peter back, everything is resolved (except for the pointless subplot started just in the last episode about Greg's family).

Tom, however, stows away on the secret plane.  So...fucking snore.  What a waste.

It has not yet been renewed for a third series.  Let's hope that remains the case.

But, Max...you fucked it up!
Quote

Actor Max Beesley has denounced the BBC’s cancellation decision as ‘dreadful’, during an interview with Digital Spy. He told interviewer Paul Millar:

“It’s a very difficult thing, this thing that’s happening now in the business, that is showbiz. It seems to be about ratings, and sustaining a market.

“Certainly Survivors, when we put that series out, the second series dipped below 5 million for one of the episodes – all of a sudden, there’s no recommission, and I think that’s dreadful.”

“I think that if you’ve got 5 million people that enjoy drama and invest in characters, you must take the time to not worry about your job and getting sacked and just go for it and hit it again.

“But it just goes to show how much of a business it’s becoming now, so consequently what happens is there are easy targets for reality shows.”

Big Finish has been doing audio adventures for a while... They're the darling of the Doctor Who community (and were born out of the interregnum period between Classic Who and NewWho), but they also do audio adventures for other franchises.

By and large, I've not been an audio guy... I have my rows and rows of Doctor Who DVDs! But I just can't say no to this:

I bought this.

It's awesome.

The update to the theme song alone is awesome.

Big Finish is doing an acted-out audiobook of the original book. Hot... Here's the audio trailer:
