well, see, I think Atlantic City is just sort of going to be the home base.  Or they're just using Capone for a while as a foil to Jimmy.  I do agree that all the episodes feel dissimilar in theme. 

But, frankly, the whole show could be about Kelly MacDonald sweeping and I'd watch it.

Okay, it finally occurred to me what the problem is... The show is too obsessed with the setting.  It's like it needs to constantly rub your face in how cool they are for being in the 1920's setting, and that gets in the way of the story.... Whatever the story is...

I was stunned last week.  We went a whole episode without a naked Paz de la Huerta.  They made up for it this week though.  So we're 5/6 on gratuitous Paz nudity.

Not that I'm complaining... Just putting together the Boardwalk Empire drinking game.
