You talk like someone who wasn't raised in the 70's and 80's when it was just fine for your parents and all other adults to let you have a nip now and then. By the time I hit college, I was well used to the taste.

My Ketel One has been in a deep freeze...it pours out like syrup over the clear ice in the shaker.  Immediately, the metal frosts over with thick, white, delicate ice.  Vermouth, some olive juice, maybe a dash of bitters?  Gently shake, pour into the tall glass.  Mmmm... I'll be doing that in about an hour.

 . . .

That sounds better than sex.

Ah, my.  Still working this Ketel, RC.  Tried it now with two small measures of vermouth, three drops of bitters, and fresh-squeezed lemon juice, garnished with a wedge.  Nice slow shake, pour it out, the gentle whisper of ice on the surface.

Vermouth kind of throws it, but I'm close to something here.

Well I did decide to stay here this weekend, because one inch of snow here is a foot over in WVA.

Mrs. RC and I are settling in for The Prestige and that new Ed Gein movie with Kane Hodder tonight, but we'll see you next weekend right?

Yuck.  They should have just renamed it Friday the 13th XI and left it at that.  Probably the worst portrayal of Gein that I've seen yet.  I'm a huge Hodder fan.  I even met him at the last Dallas Sci-Fi convention.  He is awesome at playing the role of the foreboding, monster of a man.  He does not play Gein characters very well.  There was nothing psychologically creepy about Hodder as Gein.

It was a fairly "meh" of a movie.

Words need to be spelled like they're pronounced.  All this time, I'd been calling vermouth ver-mouth.  Then, my boyfriend's alcoholic pain in the ass sister told me it was pronounced ver-mooth.  Goddamnit!
