I'm just pissed that this war hasn't motivated us youngsters to run around naked and grow our hair out real long while we hump/smoke anything that moves the way our parents' war did.

Doesn't begin to hold a candle to Hendrix & Band of Gypsies doing Machine Gun.  A lot of people say it contains the greatest electric guitar solo of all time.  The caliber of music inspired by Vietnam was pretty amazing.

Definitely... my armchair psychology opinion is that in Vietnam, we'd sometimes lose hundreds of men in a single day and people were being forced to go fight, so Americans were a lot more concerned with that war than they are with this one.

I discovered him about three years ago when I was vengefully channel surfing after having stayed up all night.  Also, a roommate liked him.  I usually didn't like him and never thought he was special -- certainly not as special as he acted or was treated.
