That does appear to be what it amounts to, yes.  Are you calling a liberal?

I said I'd follow their recommendations after having skimmed them and the resolution texts.  I meant my statement in a descriptive, rather than a prescriptive, sense.  I do intend to follow up with more research before making my final decision.

Why not just take the liberal stance and follow up with more research?  The WP seems a red herring here.

And I love our questions.  Nothing's ever interesting in MD...

Question Three: Civil Jury Trials

Shall the Declaration of Rights, Article 5, be amended?

This constitutional amendment authorizes the enactment of legislation that limits the right to trial by jury in civil proceedings to those proceedings in which the amount in controversy exceeds $10,000.

So...take away the right to trial by jury unless it's a big deal case?  But...I like having that right.

I disagree with the WP on this one.  They say yes, I say no.

Which further illustrates that the Post is deeply insane and the "endorsements" are picked every two years by a randomly selected high school class.

should I trot out my "descriptive not prescriptive" thing again?  The WP seems to endorse establishment and money more than I would like.  They take the obvious civil rights stances but then don't apply them to the little edge cases.

<trot>

I was describing what my final votes would approximate, not the reasoning behind why I was voting that way.

Wait, so you're saying that you meant your statement in a descriptive, rather than a prescriptive, sense?

Why didn't you just say that before?!?

I'm sorry, are you saying that your statement is a medical prescription?

No, I think it's a medical description.  Or maybe a medical conscription?

I would like to proscribe further jokes about the way I speak.
