Dealing With the Devil

Finally got around to reading this, because I can't read anymore, and I'm right in line with you there.  Except you seem to have more independence in the face of the torpedos.

That depends on what you mean by "independence" and how big and/or destructive the torpedos are.

I'm a publisher and, therefore, no one trusts me.  You're a producer and, therefore, everyone trusts you.  Also, I'm drunk...as a skunk...in a monk...funk...dunk.

Oh God . . . if only that were anything resembling the truth.

In my latest blog, I mention an article on Romero's films. I found it online here:

Haha nice.  After that speech, tho, you better nail the Oct 1st deadline.  Or you'll be one of those slightly more naughty boys.

Any (potential) investors reading it?

BTW if you or Doug need/want any techie (non-creative) help w/ the website/computers (unix preferred) I'm available at least for small stuff.  Large stuff is negotiable, more likely if it's fun.

A bit of a cop-out this week. I recycled part of Horror Movies 101, but I've been out oftown for a funeral, so I think it's forgivable.

Excellent because my adolescent and angsty anarchist article is top of the front page!

*head swells*

Also: I actually really liked Blair Witch Project. I saw it a week before it hit the mainstream theaters and was scared of the dark for a month. I especially enjoyed the originality of it -- it was so different that I completely bought in to it. Hell, just typing about it now is giving me the chills. Even the actors bought in to the backstory. There are still people on IMDB convinced that the movie is entirely real.

I'm fairly convinced that Heather Donahue (who sexed a hell of a way up after she lined her pockets on witch mania) is one of our better and more unrecognized new actresses.  She got nothing but crap rolls after that, but she was brilliant in Taken.

And, yes, I liked Blair Witch too.  I had to go to the one theater in DC showing it before it went into OMG BLAIR WITCH!! status.  It was just spellbinding.

But, yes, it couldn't live up to the hype when it caught it's second wind.  A shame, really.  Another movie ruined by...good press?

Love the GS blog update, though.  Tyson, Cass... Gosh, someday we'll all be there.  "And thanks to Nacho, who I caught stealing Cindy's push-up bra..."
