And after Sawyer takes all the guns and says "fuck you everybody," he is my new favorite character.

Except it never comes up again till the finale and the dynamics are back to normal right away.

I expected nothing better from network television.

Now Hurley is indulging his inner fatty.

And now Sayid is talking again! And Delenn Rousseau is here.

I'd almost watch B5 over this.

Almost.

Okay, so this is bullshit:
"Another Sayid Torture Episode" season 2 episode 14

Rousseau believes Henry Gale is an Other. Everyone in the camp says Rousseau isn't one of the Others. Ethan was fucking with Claire's child. Rousseau has scratch marks on her arm from Claire when Claire was gone for the week. So why does everybody not believe Rousseau is one of the Others? Is it because Claire kept this information to herself, like all of these idiotic assholes on the island?

Aha!  Henry Gale.  Get ready to be frustrated.  Great actor, great character, great subplot -- fucked up!

Well, I went through the Rousseau episode, then we're back to Sun and Jin; my favorites.

Sun and Jin get better treatment in season 2.  Less of the stupid Asian macho stereotypes.

Word on the street is that Lost is going to go for maybe four total seasons and then a big blow-out movie where all is revealed.

I don't think it'll a cop-out like the Hurley idea.

I'm leaning towards either:

a) Purgatory - All the kids are gone, people are dealing with their past sins, etc. The planes really did go down, but they're all dead and in purgatory. Those who "died" in the crash went to hell or heaven. But what about Rose? She is, to me, the only entirely benevolent character in Lost. I think she's my favorite, actually. She's like the perfect grandma. So why would she be in purgatory. What about Locke? He seems to be in tune with the island and he's done everyone a lot of good. (Well, as far as I've seen...)
b) http://lost-theories.com/theories/2006/jun/10/psychological-experiment/

Also, the Wikipedia pages for the characters are totally fucking filled with spoilers. Assholes!

Don't be; that's the only explanation for how shitty this is. Hurley ate some bad chili one night, and BOOM: Lost was created.

It's also an extremely effective way to write in a kill-switch for the series. Did you ever watch Enterprise? They were so confident in the series that they wrote in Mysterious Future Guy in a Temporal Cold War, thus preparing the viewer that, if need be, the whole series can be retconned away via temporal mechanics. Same principle with Hurley's dream. If the ratings plummet, and someone says "fuck this, we're canceling Lost," then Hurley wakes up and sees all these random people working at Starbucks or with him or frequent customers at Mr. Clucky-Fucky and he sees that he invented the island and all these people.

"The Island" is like Lost. But it doesn't suck.

This movie is awesome. Damn!
