Tyson Runs Fags (Tri-ath-lons)
« on: June 04, 2006, 10:01:09 PM »
For everyone's info, the whole"fag" thing has not been turned back on. I was trying to be funny.

So, Tyson, I ran into an old college friend who's doing a "half Iron Man triathlon next month. I think she said it's a half marathon, fifty mile bike, and 1.2 mile swim, only in reverse order. A one-hundredth of an iron man would kill me, but that's neither here nor there.

Iron Man? Half Iron Man? How does all this shit break down?

Ironman: Swim 2.4 miles, Bike 112 miles, Run 26.2 miles
Half Ironman: Swim 1.2 miles, Bike 56 miles, Run 13.1 miles
Olympic: Swim .94 miles, Bike 26.2 miles, Run 6.2 miles
Sprint: Swim 400-800 yards/meters, Bike 12-20 miles, Run 2-4 miles (there's no real standard distance for these, most are ultra-short, for beginners. The collegiate circuit is mostly sprint races because they're easier to host, however.)

Which half-Iron is she doing? I'm doing the Vineman (half-ironman) in July, so, you know, is she my age?

Also, the original word filter was "gayathalons". But it was easy to bypass by, *ahem*, spelling "triathlon" correctly.

It's in Maryland somewhere.
