The owners are still around, apparently, and living elsewhere on the property while in the midst of fighting some sort of heritage site status dispute with the government. It's occasionally rented out, according to some sites.

My question -- how'd this guy go so viral with his photo set? We need to crack the viral code...

I doubt it.  Looks like he took them on a cloudy day and just used lots of diffused light.  Pretty good pics actually.  I would have changed a few things composition wise, but I liked the photos.

I'm not sure it was staged, just because I didn't see footprints in the dust, and that would be a ton of work to cover up.  Just an old building with good light and possible some Photoshop done.
