I'm eight minutes away... All the Stargates are lagging.  So I'll watch it shortly.

Really?  The entire fall lineup has been leaked, then.  Amazing.

I hate to derail this thread, but I don't think this post merits a thread of its own.

Am I crazy because I think Gray's Anatomy is a total turd of a show?  Everyone I live with is friggin crazy about this show and I just don't get it.  I mean, like no one's allowed to talk while it's on and 15 people come over to the house and turn off all the lights and hunker down to watch this thing on a weekly basis during the season.  I really don't think I can sit through another episode again, so I am dreading Sunday nights come September.

It's crap, yes.  And, by the way, I'm seeing new episodes of that posted as well... What's going on?  Pilots leaked and all the new seasons are a few episodes in... Have the networks embraced the download culture, or has every intern in every company decided to leak everything?

Seriously, how does that happen?  You'd think they would figure out a way to keep that shit under wraps.  I can't imagine it would be that difficult.

There's stuff leaked I haven't even heard of...

Traveler:

Quote
Good friends Jay, Tyler, and Will have done just about everything together for the past two years, but being together ends today. Jay and Tyler become prime suspects in a terrorist bombing at a famous New York City museum after rollerblading through it as a prank. They hope that Will will clear up the situation, but find that he's been missing since the explosion.

Looks great, getting great reviews... Grabbing it, too.  And The Nine, and Friday Night Lights...

Nah, this is something else, Nubbs.  Almost everything has been leaked except for the big boys (House, etc).

For the pilots, it's obvious.  This has to be intentional.  I'm seeing almost every pilot for the new shows now that I'm looking... That can't be.  You can't leak the entire lineup from all the networks and the cable networks.  They're doing that on purpose to see what the audience likes or dislikes.

As for the episodes for the upcoming seasons, I don't know... The Stargates are probably out of Canada, which is normal.  Sci-Fi always embargoes shows while they air everywhere else.  But shit like Grey's Anatomy... Don't know.  That's weird.

seriously, one of the smartest things they could do is measure bittorrent use to see what's popular and what isn't.

Also, Nubbs, do you live in a house full of women? Because I've heard women go crazy over that show, but never men.

No, but there is a contingent of women who descend on our house to watch the show occassionally.  They're all way into it.  I remember the big huge episode at the end of this year was, get this... a guy gets a mortar from a rocket launcher stuck in his chest.  So, they've all got to try to save his life, but there's a chance that he's going to explode so all the doctors are surrounded by bomb squad cops and everyone's in bomb squad gear... well, except for helmets.  NO FUCKING HELMETS!!!   They don't even put on those stupid woodshop goggles or anything at all... they, in fact, seemed to make it a point to have their faces exposed the entire time.  I mean, seriously... you expect me to believe that people are going to cover their entire bodies in armor except for their heads and faces?  Also I find it hard to stomach that all the doctors and nurses and patients are involved in elaborate love triangles and all go fuck each other in broom closets almost constantly.  It's just one of the dumbest shows I've ever seen.

I also hate it that they've made me watch/care about/really like America's Got Talent.  There's just something about David Hasselhoff criticizing a juggler for his mediocrity that makes me laugh... hard.  It's so much better than American Idol because it's not just dumb singing... there's fire and banjos and contortionists and strippers... you just never know what's about to come on stage.  I love that show. :(

It's obviously a leak.  Just above a working print.  The music and all that will be different when it actually comes out.  Seen this before.

And my vote, I'm sorry to say, is one big snore.

It's Thursday nights this season.

And Nubbins, if you can get in touch with your inner chick, you'll find Grey's Anatomy to be (for the most part) one of the best written shows on TV. I'll admit that it skates the line of believability every once in a while, and when an episode tanks, it REALLY tanks. However, the characters are almost unbearably human. Everybody has their faults, and few of the charcaters are downright nasty, unlikeable people.

I avoided it for half of the first season then tuned in to see what my wife was squawking about and got hooked.

I will say that I fear it may have jumped the shark after last season's finale. You can only play out love affairs for so long before it becomes, "Get together or go away."

Yeah, Nubbs, RC's right, Grey's Anatomy jumped the shark before the first script was finished.  But if you can get your hands on the original pitch -- Sandra Oh:  Nude Anatomy -- then you'll love it!

Matt Watches Heroes:

Nice way to rip off the music from Batman Begins... oh wait, you just copied it.

So the flying man is a doctor? That's a nice play. Flying ambulance?

Also, thank you, India, for providing a vaguely efficient way to give exposition to the whole story.
