So I'm working my way through it before I give up, write the first sentence of a Cult Culture article, and then pull the covers over my head with a flashlight and drink.  I don't know...doesn't fly for me.

Since I can't actually read...who here has read the Roth book and seen the movie?  Comparisons?  Thoughts?  Is the girl in the Roth book as deliciously hippy as Nicole Kidman.  Not feathers and dots hippie, I mean hippy.  We all saw that in that bad doctor movie with one of the Baldwin boys... Malice?  Something.  Anyway, she's on top of him, fucking him, and we get that lingering scene of her ass pounding up and down.  I liked that.  She's hippy!  the exclamation mark is for "surprise, I'm hippy," because you don't really notice it otherwise.

I'm out of rum.  Switch to vodka or wine that was opened three weeks ago and smells like I could remove pain with it?
