i should also take this opportunity to point out, and Nacho will back me up here, that anyone who hasn't seen Rules of Attraction yet needs to FUCKING BREAK INTO BLOCKBUSTER RIGHT NOW.

yes, there are WB stars in it.  but they are trying to ruin their saccharine reputations, and for the most part, it works.  plus Eric Stoltz.  plus Bret Easton Ellis wrote the book.  plus kicking soundtrack.  plus one of the most beautiful split screen scenes ever.  plus machetes.

GO!

maybe i'll watch that instead.

Sweet black Jesus, this is true.  That movie floored me.  Hey, I need to find those online-only songs and upload them.

Don't forget the Cure song, "six different ways"!  and donovan's song "colours"!

smell y'all lata.

I have the entire Donovan collection.  And a couple gigs of Tull!

Dude, I was hooked on Donovan for about 2 months right after you came to visit me.  I'd just started using Netflix and one of the first movies I got was To Die For... I knew I needed a Donovan album as the credits roll and Season of the Witch begins to play.  It's just rolling credits as the guy's sister is doing her ice skating routine on that frozen pond with Kidman... well, I won't ruin it if you haven't seen it.

Yeah, I saw it.  That was Kidman's fully clothed period.

Here, Nacho, let me put it this way: The Butterfly Effect was to movies what The Da Vinci Code was to books. Plus it's like every single Star Trek time-travel episode ever. Except repeated, because Kutcher can't stop fucking up everything.

Should I avoid Bad Santa?

Absolutely not. You should love it and hug it and pet it and call it George.  The quote most frequently used around our house is, "You ain't gonna shit right for a week."

After you see it, you can tell us yours.

I can't believe you guys didn't mention anything about Johnathan Rhys Meyers.  This makes up for it.

And since we're on the subject of Velvet Goldmine...

Great Googlymoogly!

Also, Jonathan is going to be playing Elvis in a made for TV movie that's coming up this month.  All I can say about that is, "What the fuck?"  I can't imagine him trying to do the Elvis drawl.  It's sad that I'm going to have to sit through it just to see that lovely boy.  Thank god for the mute button.

Uh oh.  Did I do a no-no?  Should I fix that or something?
