Now, I understand that he spent his later years apologizing and being an "anti-gang activist," which isn't really as beautiful as it sounds, but the fact is that he did some bad, bad things.  It's not like he raped the farmer's wife.  He was out there killing and raping and mutilating...fucking slaughtering people.  And the gang he put together continues to carry out those original teachings, not the later teachings spoken out of shaky regret because he was facing death.  I don't trust anyone who recants on death row.

I'm inclined to agree with you. I think trying to have the executions of guys like Tim McVeigh and Tookie Williams stayed in order to protest the death penalty is misplacing your energies.

While state-sponsored death is a fine concept, the current methods are somewhat lacking. Lethal injection? Boring. Electrocution? Too smelly. Beheading? Nice, but the Arabs seem to be cornering the market. I’m thinking “retro”… like a good old fashioned stoning. It’s interactive, so you could sell tickets.
