Our Mexican neighbors behind us are doing the same thing! Are people drinking sterno to keep warm?!

Though to be fair, Missus RC and I had a pretty involved conversation about the integrity of our roof before all this started. Though I'm more worried about tree branches than snow totals.

Hogan had to go ahead and close the roads because so many retards are trying to drive in this.

We went to Rock Bottom last night. The roads were untouched... The only way to tell the roads were roads was to follow the tracks of emergency vehicles and people. And yet we saw three regular cars trying to push through (and getting stranded).

I mean, look:

I couldn't believe it. Who in their right mind would try to drive in this? And...where the fuck are they going? (There's a car in the distance of that shot!)

That's what I've been saying the whole time. I understand some kind of medical emergency, but why else? On the flip side, you had a bartender and wait staff at Rock Bottom, yes? Do we assume they walked.

VA Governor is begging people to stay off the roads today as well. A plow has been down our street a few times, but all they done is make a Hoth Rebel style trench. I would drive on it if you paid me.

Missus RC and I have concocted a three phase dig out plan to (hopefully) get her to a pre-storm scheduled car maintenance appointment on Tuesday AM. (Porch, then cars, then driveway.) But if we have to reschedule it, no biggie. We can both work from home all week, though I do have an on site job on Thursday AM in Ft. Belvoir.

We asked, because staff and customers were all sitting there watching the psychopaths. There was one waitress, two bartenders, and three kitchen folk. They all live in Bethesda or were crashing with those who do.

(That's actually becoming truer and truer for Bethesda restaurants -- lots of them are open today -- because the Bethesda of our time is over, RC. There are 30,000 more residential units in the town than there was 20 years ago.)
